Deadline for Proud of Them is looming

The Proud of Them nomination period is drawing to an end. The deadline for submissions is tomorrow (Saturday 15).

The youth empowerment initiative is a government programme that is facilitated through the National Youth Commission and the Ministry of Youth. James ‘Jamo’ Myles is a Committee Member of the programme and said so far they are achieving their main goal.

In an interview with Cayman 27 he said,’There is lots of negativity about the youth in Cayman and the world over; but National Youth Commission and the Ministry of Youth also want to focus on the positives, because they far out weigh the negatives, and one way to do that is to be proud of them.”

Mr Myles says with the dead line looming, people have one last chance to nominate a deserving individual for this round.

“I want to encourage everybody that say they are proud of young people to prove it,” said Jamo.
