A doctor here on vacation says he wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for the people of Cayman.
Leon Josephs suffered a cardiac arrest while running on a treadmill at the Ritz-Carlton gym.
A member of staff gave him CPR, plus two electric shocks, before he was rushed to the Cayman Islands Hospital.
From their he was taken to health city cayman islands and after five and a half hours of surgery, lived to tell the tale.
“I’m trying not to get emotional but he has a gift that most people don’t have,” said Dr. Josephs of the surgeon who operated on him.
“And there’s his technical part which is very gifted but as a human being, he was great with her. Dr. Ravi is really good at explaining what he was doing. I mean my kids understood what was going on. My wife understood what was going on.”
So impressed with the level of care he received, Dr. Josephs says he is now considering sending patients from his company in the US to Health City Cayman Islands.
