Tee off for Special Olympics

This Friday (22 January) golfers will come together for the 5th annual Eric Crutchley Memorial Golf  Tournament.

The tournament is serves as the Special Olympics Cayman Islands’ (SOCI) biggest fundraiser. SOCI offers year round sports training to persons with intellectual disabilities. Currently SOCI trains athletes in six disciplines: golf, swimming, athletics, football, basketball and bocce. It cost approximately $100,000 annual to run the many programmes of SOCI.

The tournament also honours the memory of Eric Crutchley. Mr. Crutchley was a long time, dedicated volunteer of SOCI, and served as the board chair.

This year features a US$1 million hole-in-one prize, as well as a 2016 Kia Sorento hole-in-one prize. In addition participants can buy a raffle ticket, and be entered to win a number of gift certificates, including a stay at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.
