Water Authority begins 10 week project

Water Authority Cayman has now entered the and final stage of its project to upgrade the water pipelines in Bodden Town. The infrastructure upgrade will see 2,200 feet of pipeline installed over the next 10 weeks.

Hannah Reid from the Water Authority says  during those 10 weeks every effort will be made to ensure that the impact on residents, business and their customers is kept to a minimum.

She told Cayman 27, “The authority always strives to ensure that there is as minimal an impact as possible particularly on businesses and their companies as possible, whenever we are undergoing major projects such as this.”

Safety is another top priority for Ms Ried and her team and she says they will they will redirect traffic between 9am and 4pm each week day while work is being done. Drivers will be told to use Gun Square and Manse Road during the the upgrade.
