Weather report 29-31 January

Cloudy skies along with moderate to fresh northwesterly are expected over the Cayman area for the next 24 hours as a cold front over our area becomes stationary later today. Radar images show a few showers in and around the Cayman area moving towards the east.

THE FORECAST:

29 January day: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a 30 percent chance of showers. Temperatures will rise to the low 80s. Winds will be north to northwest at 10 to 15 knots in the morning increasing to 15 to 20 knots by afternoon.

Seas will be moderate to rough with wave heights of four to six feet especially along the west and north coast. Small craft should exercise caution over open water.

29 January evening: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a 40 percent chance of showers. Temperatures will fall to the low 70s. Winds will be north to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas will be rough with wave heights of four to six feet with higher swells especially along west and north coast. Small craft should exercise caution over open water.

OUTLOOK: is for continuing cloudy conditions and moderate to fresh northeast winds and rough seas through the evening of 30 January becoming moderate thereafter.
