Young swimmers take to the pool

Ryan Mushin Cayman’s Senior Swim Instructor says meets like the Inter-primary swim meet held today January 22 is an excellent way to find new talent. More over, he added the meet gives some children a chance to learn how to swim as well as compete, who might have other wise never had the chance.

“Throughout the school year they come to the Lions Pool we teach them how to swim. Some of them are on swim teams but a lot of them aren’t and it’s very important for every child to have the opportunity to learn how to swim, and then they will get the chance to take it to the next level; this give them the opportunity to see if they want to,” said Mr. Mushin.
