1st ANBF event to be held in Cayman

For the first time, an American Natural Bodybuilding Federation (ANBF) event is slated to be held in Cayman.

The ANBF Caribbean Championships are slated for 29 October at the Family Life Centre.

It will serve as a professional qualifying event and Caymanian bodybuilding pro Nick Ross says it’s long overdue.

“The people that I have working with me right now, we decided to get together to bring the show in Cayman to make it happen,” Ross said. “Because we need somewhere where competitors on island can compete. Hopefully we can make this an annual show so people can compete here, obtain their pro status, also make their pro debuts, hopefully we can have a pro division next year. We’re just gonna continue to grow it. So this is just the start of hopefully a long and powerful sport of bodybuilding within the Cayman Islands.”

The event would feature several other events in addition to a bodybuilding competition, including physique, bikini, weight loss competition and a pro fitness segment.
