Athletes try to make the final cut for CARIFTA

With CARIFTA Drawing closer, more and more athletes are increasing their efforts in hopes of making final team.

Coach Kenrick Williams says there is potential withing group to go far.

No word yet on how many athletes have qualified for the games.

Just last week, Swimming Technical Direction Bailey Weathers said Cayman is often at a disadvantage at the games because our team is normally only half the size of our larger neighbouring islands. Moreover the reason behind it normally boils down to funding, something Sports Minister Osbourne Bodden says he would like to see the private sector step up to the plate to.
