Bank scam email warning

A warning from police, after fake emails claiming to be from banks are making the rounds.

Detectives from the Financial Crime Unit received information from a UK based client who lost cash after opening an email which said it was from her Cayman bank account.

Police say don’t click on any links, delete emails claiming to be from a bank, and if in doubt, contact the bank directly.

If you receive such emails, call the Financial Crime Unit on 649-8797.
