Barrister explains release changes

New guidelines came into play this week, meaning any convict jailed for more than a year is eligible for parole after serving sixty per cent of their sentence.

It will also see each one of the inmates currently serving life, brought back before the courts over the next two years and re-sentenced.

Criminal barrister Lee Halliday-Davis, joins Tammi Sulliman to explain in more detail exactly what this will mean.
