Camana Bay “still safe”

Five days after a $250,000 diamond heist, police say they have no new information to release.

Last Wednesday (17 February) night two men threatened staff at Island Jewelers before escaping with the diamonds. They used a white dirt bike as the get-away vehicle which still hasn’t been found by detectives.

The Vice President of Dart Cayman Islands said visitors to Camana Bay have nothing to fear. “Camana Bay remains one of the safest places on the island to visit, to work and to live,” said Chris Duggan. “Certainly the safety and security of everyone at Camana Bay has not been compromised in anyway. I can assure everybody that they are very safe visiting Camana Bay just as they were before and they will continue to.”
