The judge in the trial of Canover Watson will begin summing up the case Tuesday (2 February).
Defence and prosecution barristers have finished addressing the jury, leaving Justice Michael Mettyear to finish up the trial.
He’s expected to take most of Tuesday, and maybe even some of Wednesday, to finish his closing speech before the jury will begin its deliberations.
Mr. Watson is alleged to have used his position as chairman of the Health Services Authority to influence the awarding of a contract to a company he is supposed to have been connected to. He denies money laundering and theft charges.
