CARIFTA swim team announced

The Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association (CIASA) has named the Cayman Islands team for the 2016 CARIFTA Swimming Championships.

“We’re really excited,” Cayman Islands Swimming Technical Director Bailey Weathers said. “Qualifying standards dropped again this year. We were expected a much smaller team because of that and we ended up with just as many swimmers. So the team is swimming really well. All the kids have swum a lot faster than last year going into CARIFTA. So we’re excited about their opportunities for personal performance.”

The 22-athlete team is as follows:

Avery Lambert (CBAC) **

Stephanie Royston (SSC) **

Isabel Watler (CBAC) **
