Runners will get to put their strength and endurance to the test, by taking part in Off the Beaten Track. The ultra-marathon takes races on a 50 kilometer off-road race. The race is designed to emulate one of the hardest races in the world The Marathon Des Sables.
Now in it’s seventh year, the course designer Derek Larner says this year’s race is the toughest, most adventurous yet. The course will start at the edge of the Esterly Tibbets highway, and ends at the George Town Yacht Club with breakfast for runners.
Funds raised from the race will benefit two charities, the local Meals and Wheels and the international Facing Africa.
The race will take place on Sunday 21 February, with registration deadline on Saturday 20 February. For more information visit the race website.
