There are fears the diamond robbers who hit a Camana Bay store may already have fled the country.
Around $250,000 worth of jewels were taken during Wednesday (17 February) night’s heist and so far, no sign of the men responsible.
“It’s absolutely imperative that we as a community and we as a jurisdiction work together and work with the police to ensure that we stamp out this nonsense,” said Chris Duggan, Vice President of Dart Cayman Islands.
He went on to praise the staff at the store. “We are proud of the way they behaved and the way they reacted. Exactly in accordance with training,” added Mr. Duggan.
“As a result of that there was no escalation in violence. No one got injured and really it was the best possible result.”
