Hand gun arrest made during stop check

A 21-year-old man has to answer charges of possessing an unlicensed hand gun after a police stop check.

Police made the arrest Saturday (30 January) at 1 a.m. along Birch Tree Hill Road and took possession of a hand gun and three rounds of ammunition.

The man has been charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. He was expected in court Monday (1 February).
