Mokhtar Samba closes out the Cayman Arts Festival

Over the last two weeks the Cayman Arts Festival has brought world class performing arts to Cayman’s stage. The festival ends of what the artist director Glen Inanga calls “the grand finale of grand finales.” Mokhtar Samba takes the stage for the final night of the festival.

Samba was born in Morocco and lives in France, and perform African jazz music.  He grew up with music and says the many cultures he grew up influence his music, “I’m mixed, and I’m trying to make my music mixed.” In addition to his performance, Samba also held a workshop with students, sharing his expertise.
