Thieves make off with copper

Thieves struck at the John Gray High School construction site, Saturday afternoon. The crooks stole a large amount of copper wire from a storage area on the site.

Work on the new school first broke ground in 2008, however that would soon ground to a halt in 2010. Since then the site is routinely maintained to keep it form becoming overgrown. With limited activity and personnel on the site it seems the crime may have been opportunistic.

When approached by the security personnel the men escaped in a white car. Anyone with information about the theft is encouraged to call the police on 949-4222.
