Youth flag footballers off and running

Cayman’s youth flag football league is in full swing.

Here are the standings through two games:

Coach Rohan Marshall says it’s sports like flag football that are pivotal for the development of Cayman’s youth.

“When we started the kids about five years ago, I saw it as a good opportunity to start getting the kids squared away,” Marshall said. “The NFL has the Play 60 (campaign) and a lot of our kids are not getting the exercise that they need. This gives them an opportunity — regardless of their ability — to play.”

The league resumes Saturday 27 February at the Camana Bay playing field.
