Cayman’s chapter of 100 Women in Hedge Funds (100WIHF) welcomed its global ambassador for an afternoon luncheon.
Her Royal Highness, the countess of Wessex, has been an advocate for increased diversity in the financial services industry since November of last year. The countesses’ role is to encourage young women in university and business school to consider careers in finance.
The organisation’s Global CEO was on-hand from New York for the event.
“Part of what we’re trying to do as an organisation is to raise the visibility of those senior practitioners so that they do become visible, so that they do become role models for young women who are aspiring to have a career,” said 100 Women in Hedge Funds Global CEO Amanda Pullinger.
Ms. Pullinger told Cayman 27 100 WIHF has grown massively since the global financial crisis.
She said that shows the organisation’s mentoring is making a difference.
