Blood on clothing belonged to dead woman

The inquest of a woman murdered by her violent partner, who then took his own life, continued Tuesday (1 March).

Nichelle Thomas was found dead in the house she worked as a helper two years ago.

The body of her boyfriend Devon Campbell was discovered hanging from a tree close by.

On Tuesday (1 March) a DNA expert told the jury she analysed clothing worn Mr. Campbell and came to the conclusion blood on them belonged to 21-year-old Ms. Thomas.

On Monday, the jury heard how despite a number of calls to police from Ms. thomas reporting domestic violence, her partner was never arrested.

The inquest continues.
