CARIFTA track & field team named

Fourteen of the Cayman Islands standout athletics stars are set to represent the country across 20 events at the upcoming 2016 CARIFTA Track and Field Championships.

The Cayman Islands Athletics Association announced the team Monday 21 March. It includes:

Under 18 girls 
Shalysa Wray (400)
Aijah Lewis (LJ, HJ)
Lacee Barnes (SP, discus)
Daneliz Thomas (javelin)
Under 18 boys
Isaiah Robinson (100, 200)
Dominic Dyer (1,500, 3,000)
Will Edwards (1,500, 3,000)
Rasheem Brown (110h)
Javon Watler (HJ)
Lamar Reid (HJ)
Louis Gordon (HJ)
Under 20 boys 
Jamal Walton (200, 400)
Tahj Lewis (800)

Sherlock Brooks (800)

Cayman Islands Athletics Technical Director Kenrick Williams and Mustang Track Club coach Tyrone Yen will serve as coaches. Maxine Anglin and Alan Young will accompany the team as managers.
The CARIFTA Games are slated for 26-28 March, in Grenada.
