CIFA: Clubs using ineligible players

Cayman Islands Football Association leaders say they plan to cut down on clubs using ineligible players for domestic age-group games.

CIFA says it has found several instances in recent weeks of clubs using over-aged players for developmental games with an age limit, according to a press release. It says the match reports from those games have been turned over to CIFA’s Competitions Committee.

If found to have used an ineligible player, guilty teams forfeit the applicable matches and face a fine of $100 per player.
