Cuban migrants repatriated

Some 11 Cuban migrants were repatriated to Cuba earlier today (24 March). The group consisting of all men, boarded a Cayman Airways aircraft destined for Havana at around 10:45 a.m.

Currently, a little more than 50 migrants remain in the custody of the Immigration Department, and they are being housed at the Immigration Detention Centre.

At the beginning of the month 32 other migrants were deported. No word yet on when the rest will be sent home.
