Elite, Scholars stay neck-and-neck in CPL play

Elite and Scholars both won on the weekend to keep their tight race alive atop the Cayman Islands Football Association standings.

Scholars tops the table with 35 points, two clear of Elite.

Scholars beat Roma 20 March thanks to two goals apiece from Rolly Bodden and Carson Fagan.

Elite topped Academy 1-0. Mark Ebanks’ penalty in the 84th proved the difference there.

In other games, Cayman Athletic had plenty of chances but fell to George Town after Tex Whitelock hit the winner in the 71st.

Bodden Town edged Sunset 3-2.
