A 30-year-old man from East End has died after his Toyota left the road and struck a CUC pole near the blow holes along Sea View Road in East End Friday (11 March) around 11:30 p.m.
When emergency services attended the scene, he was unresponsive and had to be removed by Fire Services. He was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital but had succumbed to his injuries.

Police closed a portion of Sea View Road while they investigated, diverting traffic through Farm Road and the Queens Highway. At minutes to 10 a.m., the road re-opened.
This is the third fatal accident so far this year. 40-year-old Denvil Mitchell died after a crash on Shamrock Road in Savannah 21 February. His motorbike was hit by a car near to Countryside Shopping Plaza. In Cayman Brac, 86-year-old Ethel Venola Ebanks passed away 28 January on Stake Bay Road after her car crashed into a light pole. She was leaving a supermarket car park when she lost control of the vehicle.
