Fears crime is getting out of hand

The criticism against the Commissioner of Police is coming from all directions.

On Tuesday (22 March) Cayman 27 told you how a community activist has set up an online survey, to see exactly what people think about the Commissioner.

Kent McTaggart has not been shy in his own criticisms of David Baines, but now he wants to see if he’s alone in his opinions.

“When I grew up we didn’t lock our doors. Nobody closed their doors,” said Mr. McTaggart.

“And we are no turning into Little Kingston. I think that’s why we are here, is it not? Because Cayman is a safe, wonderful place.

“And its still comparatively, is. But do we want to continually accept that its going to get worse and worse, to what point. At some point, it’s got to stop.”

Cayman 27 contacted the RCIPS for comment, about both the survey and the Private Member’s motion filed. They told us at this stage they have no comment to make.
