Maritime conference to focus on the environment

A new maritime conference that plans to drop anchor in Cayman come May 2nd will also focus on the environment. Those behind the conference say they want to shed some light on the various forms of pollution that affect maritime industry as well as other issues large vessels face when out on the high seas.

During a press conference at the Government Administration Building John Aune said, “The conference will be focusing on environmentally issues that are relevant for the shipping industry which is of course bales water treatment systems, it’s got to do with air pollution, oil pollution for sea. And its discussions on what can be done for basically to continue to protection of the maritime environment.”

The conference will feature a host of companies in the international maritime industry along with their local counter parts.
