Pipeline upgrades grind to a halt

Work on upgrading Bodden Town pipelines have been temporarily halted. The project began on January 18th, and so far Water Authority Cayman says it has advanced more than halfway. To date a total of 1,157 feet of pipeline has been installed, and 1,000 feet still needs to be installed.

In a statement Deputy Director Tom Van Zanten said,”Unforeseen circumstances which cased a significant delay to the renovation of one of the authority’s reverse Osmosis Plants made it necessary to temporarily halt the project.”

Although the project is on hold there will be two road closures, on Tuesday and Wednesday, both will run from 9 am till noon.
