Principal: No room for bullies in public schools

The top man at John Gray High School (JGHS) says bullying will not be tolerated and there is no room in any government school for bullying.

Jonathan Clark the Principal of JGHS told Cayman 27 all matters pertaining to bullying, no matter the severity, will be dealt with swiftly.

He said, “I’ve seen the video from that indecent in October. From my belief everything has been dealt with properly [and] that has become a police issue; like any issue like that should be.” He added, “If a student is assaulted in school, just like if they were assaulted on the streets, it should become a police matter. But within school the important thing is that we have systems in place to deal with these issues, and that we staff and students are confident in those systems.”

Mr Clark took over earlier this year, several months after the initial bullying incident.
