Taylor cruises to new champs record

Calabar High School’s Christopher Taylor 17 March continued to show why he’s considered one of the best junior sprinters in the Caribbean.

The 16-year old sprinter set a new class two record in the 200-metres at Champs — Jamaica’s National high school championships — by crossing the line in 20.8 seconds.

The mark breaks a nine-year old mark of 20.89 seconds set by former Calabar sprinter Ramone McKenzie.

Taylor earlier in the week also broke the class two quarter-mile record.
