The benefits of being a museum member

The Cayman Islands National Museum is inviting the public to become a member of the museum, or renew their membership. Dr. Peggy Leshikar-Denton, Director of the museum says being a member of the museum is “joining the museum family.”

Membership comes with many benefits, including free admission year-round, special invitations to previews and lectures, and newsletters. One special benefit is 10% discount off the museum gift shop.

When guests visit the museum, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, you can enjoy a self-guided tour that utilities special audio visual technology to teach visitors about Cayman’s past. The museum has a permanent gallery, as well as three changing exhibitions. A current exhibition is called 25 Years: Piece by Piece, and showcases Cayman’s history in twenty-five objects.

There are different levels of memberships. Students and senior citizens can get a membership for $10, families can also get a special membership. There is also an opportunity for corporations to become members. With the corporate membership, companies can give 40 individual memberships to staff.
