Victim says he was selling fish, not looking for revenge

A man who had his throat slashed during a broad day light George Town attack says he never threatened the person accused of trying to kill him.

David Bodden denies last year’s attempted murder of Blake Burrell in Fort Street.

At court Tuesday (1 March) Mr. Burrell gave evidence via video link. He said before he was attacked he never went looking for Mr. Bodden and denied trying to get a gun to shoot a man who wouldn’t tell him Mr. Bodden’s whereabouts.

Under cross examination from defence barrister Amelia Fosuhene, Mr. Burrell  said the only reason he was driving around the Cruz Road area late at night with a known enemy of Mr. Bodden’s was because he was selling fish.

The trial continues Wednesday (2 March).
