West Bay Road crash injures four, snarls trafffic

The Wednesday morning commute (23 March) was made much more difficult due to the closure of West Bay Road near the junction with Eastern Avenue after an overnight crash between three vehicles put four people in hospital.

An RCIPS statement says police were called to the scene in front of Captain’s Bakery at 1:33 a.m. Three of the four victims were treated and released from the Cayman Islands Hospital while a woman, 35, remained under care for non-life threatening injuries.

The accident scene was closed for more than six hours for investigation and clean-up which led to massive traffic back-ups between West Bay and George Town.
