Youth follow in the leaders’ footsteps

Students got a taste of political banter and debate after Monday’s (14 March) young parliament. For Chair Al Suckoo, it was a moment of pride when he saw the young rise to the occasion, articulate their points on their debate and in the end watch the opposition team win its motion.

“There was a major upset, some of the government members broke their ranks, nothing to do with me, but it showed me the level of intelligence and strategic thinking employed,” said Mr. Suckoo.

Mr. Suckoo himself was a Progressives member and a Councillor in government. He broke ranks last year and crossed the floor.
