Car crashes into house

A white Honda Civic crashed into an abandoned house on the water front close to Da Fish Shack Restaurant around the hours of 10 p.m. Wednesday (6 April), leaving two people seriously injured. Two men were transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital where both men required surgery. The driver of the car is said to have fled the scene and police are looking for his whereabouts. The man on the run is also said to be severely injured and police are urging the public to give any information on the injured motorist who is on the run.

The driver of the car, as well as the passengers, are said to be in their teens. It’s reported, that the driver lost control of the vehicle, smashing into a house, leaving major damage to the front and sides of the vehicle.

The police are asking anyone with information leading to the advancement of the investigation to call the traffic management unit at 946-6254.
