Kemar Hyman has set a new Cayman Islands record in the 200-metre dash.

Running at this weekend’s Spec Towns Invitational, at the University of Georgia campus, Hyman won the 200 in 20.71 seconds. That breaks his own previous National record of 20.82 he set more than six years ago.

Hyman also won the 100-metres at the event. He finished in a season’s-best time of 10.05 seconds.

Caymanian and University of Missouri redshirt sophomore Alex Pascal also was competing at the meet. He placed fourth overall in the men’s javelin throw with a best heave of 65.1 metres.

Pascal owns the 28th-best throw of any NCAA Division I athlete this season, a distance of 68.98 metres.
