Man. City, Real Madrid through to the Champions League semis

Manchester City and Real Madrid 12 April won their respective matches to secure spots in the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

City beat PSG 1-0 on a goal from Kevin De Bruyne to advance 3-2 on aggregate.

“Amasing night for us,” Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart said. “We’ve worked hard in this competition. I’ve been here since the start of this Champions League run and we did struggle to start with. But we started to piece together results. It speaks volumes. You can stay in games and then quality really does pay.”

The days other match belonged to one man — Cristiano Ronaldo.

With his team reeling after a 2-0 upset loss to Wolfsburg in the first leg, Ronaldo scored three times 12 April to lift Real Madrid to a 3-0 win in the return leg.
