A pledge from Health City Cayman Islands has been made to keep on helping children for free.
Two underprivileged youngsters from Bolivia are the latest to benefit at the East End facility after receiving heart surgery.
Doctors say this goes a little bit further to their ultimate goal of performing more than 300 procedures a year on children in dire need.
“Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica and Bolivia is the fourth country,” said Dr. Binoy Chattuparambil.
“We hope in the near future we will expand our service for kids with heart disease and who are financially deprived to the entire Caribbean region and hopefully we will be able to do one heart surgery procedure a day so we can save more than 300 kids a year.”
Humanitarian charity Samaritan’s Purse helped bring the children to Cayman for their operations.
