Stopping child sex abuse

Care groups, counsellors and social-workers brainstorm on how to better fight child sex abuse. The Cayman Islands red cross is working with non-profit organisations to spread awareness on the signs and methods to combat sexual abuse.

Deputy Director of the Red Cross Carolina Ferreira says today’s event was a step in the right direction to inform parents and guardians about child sex abuse as there are no such policies to help prevent it from happening in the first place.
Child psychologist Sophia Chandler says the seminar has been informative for child serving organisations in pre-screening for abuse before it’s too late.
