Theft accused denies all charges

Giving evidence for the first time, Michelle Bouchard flatly denied stealing a cent from Australian millionaire 89-year-old James Hansford.

Opening the case for the defence Peter Carter QC asked his client about her previous work history.

She revealed how before she even met Mr. Handford, she was earning close to$100,000 a year, heading up the interior design department of a Cayman architectural company.

And while working there, she designed the interior for the Government Administration Building.

Outlining her private life, she also revealed she likes to race vintage motorbikes, takes part in Iron Man competitions, runs marathons and shipped her Harley Davidson motorbike here when she moved to Cayman.

Miss Bouchard denies 26 theft related charges, the trial continues Thursday (14 April).
