Witness says he saw gun exchange

A witness relives the moment he saw a gun being passed between two men, just before his friend was shot dead.

Osbourne Douglas and his brother, Justin Ramoon both deny murdering Jason Powery last year outside the Globe Bar in George Town.

Although it’s Mr. Ramoon who the Crown says pulled the trigger, he’s jointly charged with Mr. Douglas who is accused of helping him carry out the crime.

Giving evidence Friday (22 April) was Justin Ebanks who says on the night of 1 July first he saw the exchange between the two accused when one, passed the other a weapon.

Mr. Ebanks said, “I looked up and seen Osbourne Douglas give Justin Ramoon a gun. I heard the shot and run. I got in the car and stopped to speak to Jerome Hurlstone.

“He said he dead, I say who dead, he said Moggy dead.”

Mr. Ebanks said he then called , 911, before leaving the scene, the case continues Monday.
