Family fun day at Black Pearl

While Christopher Columbus might have discovered Cayman on the 16th of May, various church groups discovered they could throw a family fun day.

The second biggest concrete park in the world, Black Pearl, was visited by families from all over the island to skate, eat, play basketball and win prizes with people of their community.

“Families split in so many different directions that we need to have venues that bring them together, it’s nice to go off the campus of the church and into the community because that’s where the people are. So if we can get families coming in together, families that are here and there and everywhere through the week. It’s a great day because they experience unity within the family and that’s important,” said Pastor Mike Irby.

The fun day served as a reminder of the importance to keep families together.
