Cayman Islands hurdles record holder Ronald Forbes recently suffered an injury that will keep him out of this weekend’s Cayman Invitational.
Details are few, but Meet Director Cydonie Mothersill said in a press release the injury required a procedure to help mend the affected area and Forbes now is recovering.
Forbes has been experiencing the best run of his career.
Twice this outdoor season he’s broken his own Cayman Islands record in the 110-metre high hurdles. Two weeks ago he clocked a time of 13.36 seconds, which currently is tied for the ninth-fastest time in the world.
