Gun offences bring people to court

Three people were expected to appear in court Monday (9 May).

In the early hours of Saturday (7 May) morning, police responded to a fight in the parking lot of West Bay Road night club Fete.

Two men aged 24 and 25, from North Side and West Bay were arrested and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, after a 9mm handgun was found in a vehicle.

The night before (6 May), a 43-year-old man from George Town was arrested after an incident where someone pulled a gun out on patrons at the Rooftop Lounge and Bar on Mary Street during a dispute.

The man has since been charged with possession of an imitation firearm.
