Jamaica’s “C-team” 4×100 beats American stars

Four relatively unknown Jamaican sprinters over the weekend took on the world’s best at the Penn Relays and came away with the win.

Jamaica’s Jermaine Hamilton, Julian Foote, Rasheed Dwyer and Oshane Bailey led the Jamaicans to victory in the 4×100 race named “USA versus the World.”

The Americans brought a team of superstars, including Mike Rodgers, Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay and Isaiah Young, but a botched handoff heading into the final stretch guaranteed victory for the Jamaicans, who finished in 38.7 seconds.
