LA budget timing concerns aired

The Legislative Assembly (LA) will sit next Monday (30 May) with a view to get a proposed budget presented, debated, discussed, passed and assented to in time for the deadline of 30 June.

That gives legislators one month to go through a hefty 18-month document, no doubt we’re going to see many late nights at the LA.

George Town MLA Winston Connolly is a first-time legislator but he’s gone through a couple of these budget rounds to understand what is at play here. He airs his concerns and explains what to expect in this sit down with Tammi Sulliman.
