Maedac restructures

After serving the community for 32 years, one gas station is turning the valve off on it’s fuel supply.

Maedac Rubis shut down the gas station on Monday. The company has decided to re-focus it’s energies on new projects.

“We were not making gains at the level we wanted to make at, and I think at the end of the day, again being a very prudant business man, we were at the top of our game, as far as we could possibly be with this line of business and we took a decision to step back and say, this isn’t an opportunity we want take advantage of any longer, there was other ones we had put aside over the years and we’re going to use those and expand on those,” said Morgan DaCosta, Operations Manager of Maedac.

The market, carwash and tire shop are still open for business, Maedac will focus on its wholesale enterprise.
