One spike closer to Olympics

Cayman’s women’s beach volleyball team has earned the chance to qualify for the summer Olympic games, in Rio De Janeiro.

Over the weekend Jessica Wolfenden, Stefania Gandolfi Ileann Powery and Chante Smith Johnson finished eighth out of 12 teams while in El Salvador. It is important to note that the women have not yet secured a spot in the Olyimpic games, instead they have entered the final stage of FIVB regulated Olympic qualifications, which will now see 12 teams vying for spots to the Rio games.
