Travel agent accused of theft

The chief financial officer from Cayman Airways gave evidence today… In the trial of a travel agent accused of stealing thousands of dollars from customers.

Ingrid Scott was part owner of Sea2sky Travel. She is charged with stealing around $25,000 by telling people she had booked their flights. But when customers turned up at the airport, nothing was booked.

On Wednesday, the jury heard from Paul Tibbetts, who told them when he was contacted by police and given a list of names of people who had paid for tickets. He checked, but found none of them were booked on flights.

The trial is expected to last until next week.
